SMECS (Smart ETA Prediction in Intermodal Transport Networks) was a research project at TU Berlin focusing on AI-based arrival time prediction in intermodal transport networks. The project used machine learning to more accurately forecast delays and disruptions along complex supply chains, minimizing planning uncertainties. The target audience for the research results includes logistics providers and transport companies aiming to optimize their route planning using data.
