At the same time, Berlin is home to internationally recognized research in explainable and trustworthy AI, alongside companies that translate these insights into real-world applications. The capital contributes significantly to Germany’s strong standing in trustworthy AI, with the country ranking second worldwide5. In the international race for technological leadership, AI made in Europe—application-oriented, comprehensible, and trustworthy—is increasingly valued in the business-to-business sector and also gaining importance among private users, with Berlin providing important momentum.
